The mission of the Mobile Integrated Health Program is providing care, with dignity and respect, to the vulnerable populations of Ketchikan. We do this by providing personalized care and case management to clients on a non-emergent basis.
Operations
Our MIH Team consists of two Community Paramedics who provide mobile healthcare wherever our patients may be. The MIH Team is led by the Division Chief of Community Risk Reduction/Fire Marshall. Our hours of operations is Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. The MIH Office is located on the 3rd floor of Ketchikan Fire Department Station One, 70 Bawden Street, KTN.
MIH makes pre-scheduled appointments with clients after receiving requests for contact from community partners such as the Fire Department, PeaceHealth Hospital, Ketchikan Indian Community, and more. All requests are made with written patient consent and information of MIH services. MIH at this time is grant funded through the State of Alaska and multiple partner agencies. We do not bill for our services at this time.
Services we currently offer include, but are not limited to: Home Safety Checks, Wound Care/Blood Draws, Healthcare Follow-Ups, Medication Reconciliation, Fall Risk Assessments. If there are any questions on possible services, please email us at KFDMIH@ketchikan.gov or call our line at (907) 228-2461. At this time, KFD MIH operates only within the boundaries of the City of Ketchikan.
MIH does not provide 911/Emergency Care. Please call 911 for any possible medical emergencies.
If you are experiencing a Mental Health Crisis, we also encourage you to call the Ketchikan Cares Crisis line (907) 225-2273 (CARE) or call/text 988 for help. You are not alone.
