Job Description:

COMMUNITY PARAMEDIC for the City of Ketchikan Fire Department. Independently performs Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) programs in the community as needed by expanding access to non-urgent health care through in-home patient visits and community-based services and providing outreach education.  Must be capable of providing emergency medical care at the paramedic level while also assisting patients with non-emergent referrals and medical needs. Must have specialized training in medicine or a related field including advanced medical patient care training and three years of experience in the delivery of emergency medical patient care in a pre-hospital setting at the Paramedic level. License as a State of Alaska Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic OR certification with the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians as a Paramedic. Must possess an appropriate, valid driver’s license and evidence of a good driving record upon hire and completion of Community Paramedic training within one year of employment. Regular, full – time; $33.55 - $38.93/hr DOQ ; plus benefits.  Position is open until filled; EOE/AA.
