Thomas Basin is located at the south end of town. It has reserved moorage for 202 boats, with a maximum length of 65 feet (this includes 32 stalls in the Ketchikan Yacht Club). There is also an open moorage area of 417 linear feet for boats up to 65 feet in length. A tidal gridiron will hold boats up to 100 tons. All stalls are reserved. Do not moor in a stall without authorization from Harbormaster.

Other amenities include:

• Potable water available.
• Limited electicity, do not plug in without Harbormaster's permission.
• Tidal grid for vessels up to 100 tons. Make reservations prior to use.
• Waste oil tanks, garbage dumpsters, telephones, fuel docks, laundry, supplies, shopping, restaurants and tourist attractions in immediate vicinity.
• Local bus service and taxis.
